oh, lots of great Canadian cats but the guy i was thinking of is
Jerome Godboo also, arguably the worlds most unusual band featuring harmonica Hazmat Modine with Wade Schuman on harmonica Broken Joe |

I don't think Broken Joe plays out much but I'd like to see them too. Walter Trout too rock n' roll? Never heard that before. One of the best guitar players in the century (Listed as no.5 on the rolling Stones best guitar players)

Trampled Under Foot ... those guys (and gal) are incredible
Bring back Walter Tore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jimi Lee.
John, if you're not familiar with this guy, do some checking on him. He's a fantastic harp and guitar player, and songwriter. He also teaches and could do the advanced seminar. At the Birmingham harmonica festival a few years ago he was hired as a performer, but they also had him walk around the hotel with his guitar and harps. His job was to get folk playing. He walked around starting hallway jams, getting people playing, giving spontaneous guitar and harp lessons, etc... He would add a lot to the Bean. Really.

Jimi works with John Gindick at his camps quite often.
He also set up in a hallway after the Buckeye Harmonica Festival and led a jam. Players of all level sat in. He changed his guitar playing to match the harp player and was very encouraging.
I agree, a seminar with Jimi would be fantastic, at Hippie Hill.

Kudos to Lil' Ed and the blues Imperials, Watermelon Slim, and Walter Trout for the Guitar crowd and add Charlie Musselwhite for the Harp crowd.

couldn't we at least be treated to one good old tyme porch style group, country and or blues... flattop guitar ,dobro, upright doghouse bass and harmonica.... maybe a REAL upright piano, miked up...
ya know... like in a delta Juke joint,,, or the porch of the Floyd General store... maybe some serious musicians who sat down while they played and did not strike guitar hero poses,, do Motown steps or try to look sexy ? uh , maybe some guys or gals who are about the music , not appearing in hope of furthering their climb to a nebulous stardom not everyone wants to hear stratocasters sustaining notes indefinitely or an electric bass churning the contents of your stomach , how about people who can sing without swallowing the ball of an SM58 I am serious about this,, and I bet a lot of people feel the same way, that they love harmonica,, and a guitar player who plays well enough not to need electronic gimmicks or amp sustain... and like harmonica music that was not written yesterday |

Have you been to the Floyd County General store? I was there in the spring, jammed a little, heading back in that area in October.
