Thanks for suggesting me to play again.   I had one of the best times of my playing career and would come back in a heartbeat.   The Bean is a special gig, and held at a sacred site.    I am enjoying the delta frost harps as wellSmile   I would love to see Rick Estrin on the bill.  Rick can really play the harp IMO.  I spent time with him while living in Ca.  He is kind soul as well.   Walter

yea, Rick Estrin is Real !

speaking of Ricks,, Beets----yea,, that's Delta Don 4 sho'   and to a degree even Mice Elf... but as for me.... I would not want to play with any band whose standards were low enough to have me LOL

and you asked if I had been to the Floyd store porch... nope,,, although Harmonicamike Street and i are thinkin of goin there next year... but my brother Bruce lives in Ferrum, next town over , and goes there occasionally as well as a lot of other pickin parlors on the Crooked Road... he just switched to midnite shift manager at the ITT plant in Roanoke, so they can train a replacement for him as he is retiring in Feb, finally... so he may be available to run around with you..(be ware,, he talks more than I do and is a Redneck with a couple college degrees,, a dangerous and lugubrious combination) oops ,, I think I mean loquacious... what do those words mean ???

would you be interested to meet him anyway ? ,, he still picks a bit , despite some big time carpal tunnel syndrome..

he is thinkin about goin to the Bean with us next summer when he has left the world of work.. as he does play music, ride motorcycles and has done the camping thing a lot,,, even in the Artic and would  consider Bill Monroe Music Park a 5 star hotel... practically sybaritic and decadent in its  many amenities

his email is BMaass50@aol.com--avoid any references to Gun Control , taxation, or what passes for the modern public educational system LOL

I agree that Walter Tore should be back.  However, I'd like to see him play later in the day to a bigger crowd.  Very entertaining!!!

Walter Tore is sure no Bore
He plays songs not heard before

He doesn't play covers
or songs for young lovers

But he does sing of life
and  his love for his wife

and  deep Heartfelt songs
of lifes rights and wrongs

telling the ills of society
without concern for propriety

you are hearing a sage
sing out a message

He has no commercial leanings
but sings songs of deep meanings

Of societies gone rotten
and  helpless people forgotten

or the wonders of life
that persist despite strife

His music will never top the charts of pop
Lord let him sing on, let him never stop

I'd rather hear Walter than have a fine meal
Walter Tore is a bluesman, he is the real deal

Thanks Billy!  John had me scheduled for later, but I asked to go on first so I could set up my stuff in a relaxed manner.  I think I have figured out how to set up quicker by putting things together off to the side and then fine tuning the drum stuff once set up on stage.  The 1 man band rig is like setting up a whole band with only one guy......   Most festivals I play rush you on and off so fast that it is a big stress attack of stuff set up wrong (my drum gear is home made and tempermental) and crap sound onstage.   The Bean was much more relaxed and the stage sound was great, so I could go on later if asked back.    Walter

That's a good poem 1/2. You should write a book of poetry.
