A heartfelt thank you to Dick Clark for bringing us the music, his influence on the industry, and what he represented to a fifty years of teenagers. Rest in Peace Dick.

Berry Gordy was commenting on that today, how in the late 1950s, Dick Clark was bringing Black rock artists on American Bandstand and later integrated the Bandstand kids well ahead of the social evolution. Music crosses all sorts of social and cultural barriers and he used that to the fullest.
