Come one, come all - harmonica and ukulele players - to The Bushman Spring Thing - a FREE gathering of harmonica and ukulele players hosted by Bushman Music Works.  Here are all of the details:

Event:  The Bushman Spring Thing
Begins:  Friday, March 26th at 5pm
Ends:  Saturday, March 27th at Midnight
Official Hotel:  Salt Creek Inn, Nashville, Indiana
Note:  We have arranged discounted room rates because the Inn loves us, but you must make your reservations through Bushman Music Works at 812-988-8084.  Rooms will be about $60/night, and you can save money by sharing rooms with other forum buddies.
Official Cabin RentalsMcGinley Vacation Cabins
Note:  The cabins are beautiful, secluded, most have hot tubs, and they are just plain fun.  If you are splitting the cost with others they can be very affordable.  The cabins are a great way to go for the Bean Blossom Blues Fest too...and for the Spring Thing or any event held here in Brown County Indiana.

What to expect:  This is just a time to meet with other harmonica and ukulele players for jamming and fellowship.  The cost of the event is free.  It's held at the Bushman Brewhouse.  The Brewhouse is a full bar, restaurant, and jam house which offers live music.  YOU, the Spring Thing attendees, will be the live music for both Friday and Saturday nights at the Brewhouse.  We will have a guitar playing "jam host" with a sound system on both nights from 8pm until Midnight, and everyone who wishes will take turns playing in front of our normal Brewhouse crowd.  You can jam before and after those hours, but you will not have a sound system unless you bring one.  Jamming is welcomed anytime that the Bushman Brewhouse is open.   We will not hire any seminar leaders or famous performers - this is a free event for the people, by the people.  Bushman Music Works will be open for instrument purchases.   Nashville, Indiana is a very fun, beautiful town to visit with lots of souvenior shops and galleries.  This is also a good time to make all of your arrangements for the Bean Blossom Blues Fest coming up in August.  You can visit potential places to stay, get your tickets, and get everything nailed down so that when August comes you just have to concentrate on the fun.

Bushman Brewhouse Kitchen Hours:
Friday, March 26th:  5pm - 9pm
Saturday, March 27th:  11am - 9pm
Note:  We could have a Spring Thing Breakfast on Saturday morning from 8am until 10am but we will have to get reservations from at least 10 attendees to make it worthwhile to buy breakfast foods and bring in our cooks.

Bushman Brewhouse Bar Hours:
Friday, March 26th:  1pm - Midnight
Saturday, March 27th: 11am - 3am(Sunday morning)

The Brewhouse has GREAT food, and a HUGE whiskey selection - need I say more?

Please RSVP here on forum just by replying to this topic.

Hmmmm, let me see.

$1,000 to go to Clarksdale

$0 to go to Nashville

That's a tough one.

I'll check with the keeper of the harps.  It sounds real good to me.

Might be fun to split the cost on a bigger cabin, might be a great place to jam.

I think the cabins have outhouses and a creek, so no problem there.

John,
I have to check with the boss. I imagine I'll make it. Will let you know soon. Have been hoping you would have a spring event. Thankyou!
Ken,
Are you coming with your wife?

Rick,
Any idea of a room split? Might be affordable.

Eharp,
 Please bring a towel!
